Bango edges closes to profitability

Off-portal specialist reduced its losses in the six months ending September 2008.

Bango has posted a loss of £0.59 million for its 1H08, compared with £0.75 million for the previous half year.

Revenue levels were maintained at £6.75 million in what is traditionally a weaker first half for the company.

Bango pointed to strong growth in revenue from the North American market as established content providers moved from premium SMS to WAP-billing services.

It also said it's starting to see revenues from over 350 webmasters using Bango Analytics.

Lindsay Bury, Chairman of Bango, said: “Bango continues to make progress towards profitability, with losses and cash burn reduced to £25,000 in September, and with this progress continuing into the second half.
