Developers can now get their hands on tools to make apps and content for the Windows-powered device
The Sony Ericsson Beta SDK for Windows Mobile 6.1 enables developers to create 'Panels' UI features and applications for the Xperia X1 handset.
The new version 1.0.4 release includes Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and Windows Vista OS compatibility and adds mapping support to the Device Emulator.
Developers will also be walked through the Mobile2Market certification program for testing and signing Windows Mobile applications (though Panels have separate criteria set by Sony Ericsson itself).
