Gameloft tops quality rankings

French mobile games publisher attracted the best average review scores in Q3, according to MobileGamesDb.com.
Gameloft scored an average rating of 84.5 per cent for the 36 games it released in 3Q08, with Handy Games ranked second (78.6 per cent) and EA Mobile third (78.4 per cent).
The figures were compiled by MobileGamesDb.com, which aggregated reviews from PocketGamer, AirGamer, Midlet-review, ProjectNext and MobilGamer.
Conversely, Germany's Fishlabs came top in PocketGamer's aggregated review rankings for the same period.
To quality for inclusion in the MobileGamesDb.com rankings each developer/publisher has to have at least five reviewed games each quarter, with a minimum of 70 per cent average rating, or ten or more reviewed games in total during the period.

I feel it's only fair to point out that we've been doing exactly the same thing on PocketGamer .biz since Q1 this year (you can find them by going to the site and searching for Quality Index)

Gameloft has closed its prodution studio in Sao Paulo/Brazil due to world crisis.

I feel it is only important to say that PocketGamer Ratings came after MobileGamesDb ratings and copied our ratings. :-) And come on, Fishlabs has only a couple (3 in our db, 5 in PG db) reviewed games in the quarter from all sources we have got, that's why we didn't add them to our portal.
