Mobile Streams inks deal to put popular HBO franchises on handsets.

The global distribution agreement (excluding the US and Canada) will see Mobile Streams handle content from Sex and the City, The Wire, The Sopranos, Rome, Flight of the Conchords and Entourage.

On offer will be ringtones from theme songs of HBO shows and voicetones of well-known sayings from the likes of Tony Soprano.

Operators taking the content include 3, Vodafone, Movistar, Optus, SingTel, Telcel, Telefonica and TIM. It will also be available via Mobile Streams direct-to-consumer portals mobileWallpapers.com and Ringtones.com.
