Capcom unifies Euro and North American mobile operations into one management team.
As a result, both regions will begin using the consumer-facing brand Capcom Mobile immediately. The new brand is designed to minimise any potential miscommunication in the marketplace.
The moves confirmed Capcom’s position as the only Japanese games publisher with a major independent mobile presence in international markets. Its repertoire includes Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old and others.
Midori Yuasa, president of Capcom Interactive, will lead the cross-territory management team.
She said: " By combining forces we can execute a balanced portfolio of titles on a global level, whilst maintaining a focus on providing products tailored to individual territories”.
Under the new management structure, Matt Gillis (EVP of publishing) will lead commercial activities, with Manabu Seko (head of studios) leading Capcom's R&D functions in London, Toronto and Los Angeles.
