G1 will pre-load Amazon music store

Amazon will pre-load its MP3 music store on the T-Mobile G1 Android phone.
The partnership means that G1 users will be able to search, download, buy and play any of the six million DRM-free tracks on the Amazon store.
It’s a pretty significant development, and accelerates further the part played by mobile in challenge to Apple’s hegemony in the digital music space.
Nokia and Sony Ericsson, of course, already embed links to their music stores, while Omnifone offers all-you-can-download subscriptions with various operators on its MusicStation service.
Downloading music from Amazon MP3 using the T-Mobile G1 requires a wi-fi connection but searching, browsing, listening to samples and buying MP3s can be done wherever customers are connected to the T-Mobile network.
Downloaded MP3s can be played anytime on the T-Mobile G1, PCs, Macs or any other MP3 music player.
