Flirtomatic has over one million registered members, and more than half are mobile users.
In February 2007, the firm reported 225,000 registered users, so this represents an almost 350 per cent growth in 18 months. Meanwhile, since August 2007, revenue has risen by 475 per cent. As of May this year, Flirtomatic users were sending 1m messages a day, generating 21m web page views and 130m WAP page views.
The company reckons the 500,000 plus mobile figure makes Flirtomatic the UK's favourite mobile social networking service. Flirtomatic invites users to flirt and make friends either online or on mobile. It’s free to join but generates revenue by selling premium items that users can gift to each other.
The company launched into Germany in July.
Mark Curtis, CEO Flirtomatic commented: "Having more than a million registered users is a fantastic milestone for us. With over half of those users being mobile specific, it demonstrates Flirtomatic's appeal to users who want social networking wherever they are and will only use services that offer them an innovative and entertaining experience. We'll continue to be fresh and develop the service further to attract new users and keep our existing users coming back for more."
