RIM is inviting entries for its first BlackBerry developer awards.
The BlackBerry Alliance Program Innovation Awards have been created to recognise innovation, return on investment and efficiency in the EMEA region.
The categories include:
· Driving innovation in the public sector
· Transforming enterprise business performance
· Innovation for the small and mid size business
· Life on Blackberry award – consumer
· Delivering service excellence
Jeff McDowell, VP of global alliances at RIM, said: “Innovation is at the very heart of RIM and the BlackBerry solution. We have launched the BlackBerry Alliance Program Innovation Awards to reward and recognise our Alliance Partners in EMEA who are transforming the mobile applications market and are enhancing our customers’ lives.”
As of today, more than 70 per cent of RIM’s enterprise customers have deployed BlackBerry applications beyond email. Clearly RIM expects these awards to help continue this trend.
The awards are free to enter and all members of the BlackBerry Alliance Program based in EMEA are encouraged to apply. For more information go to www.blackberryalliancesummit.com.
The deadline for entries is Friday 17th October 2008. The awards will be presented at a gala dinner at the EMEA Alliance Summit, at the Fairmont Monte Carlo hotel, Monaco, on Wednesday 19th November 2008.
