The meaty snack brand Peperami is taking its spoof ‘animal attacks’ to mobile via the .mobi domain.
ts new site aims hosts a range of premium content plus a personal ‘rant generator’ called ‘animal attacks’. To action the application, consumers text the word ‘Animal’ to a short code (66644) and receive a link to the .mobi site. They then put together the wind-up call from a selection of phrases and the ‘Animal Attack’ call is delivered to a specified number. The recipient either gets a live call or a voicemail from the Peperami Animal, and a follow-up text within five minutes to explain the wind-up.
The activity marks the first mobile internet presence for the snack brand owned by Unilever. It also offers wallpapers, ringtones and an exclusive ringback tone for 3 network customers. AKQA created the digital advertising campaign.
