Upgrade of mobile video chat platform will enable fans to connect with the stars.
Mobile video chat specialist D2see has upgraded its platform to facilitate two-way interaction between celebrities and their stalkers. Um, we mean biggest fans.
The company has already made strides in the realms of interactive 3G video, particularly in the UK's 'babe' TV channel scene.
It's now made it possible for multiple 3G users to connect to a chat session - while awaiting their chance to grill the A or D-lister (stationed safely behind a PC webcam) they can watch and listen in on the current converstation.
D2see says the new capability transforms the economics of a 3G chat, as multiple simultaneous 3G callers generate enough revenue per minute for a celebrity cost-base.
Jeremy Flynn, CEO D2see, said: “A fan base always wants to get closer to its hero. Celebrity 3G video chat meets this desire, while providing the opportunity for exceptional revenue flows.”
