CTIA: MobiTV goes for vertical lift-off

MobiTV has created Mobi4BIZ, a dev programme that tailors content for niche audiences.
The video-centric application will target ‘prosumers’ and business professionals, enabling them to customise the alerts and video content they get from their MobiTV service. It will debut in the US on RIM's BlackBerry Bold device, with content culled from partners like CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox Business and TheStreet.com.
MobiTV says Mobi4BIZ could be extended to niche programming pitched at families and sports enthusiasts as well as verticals like education.
