Sonic Boom is bring its ToneMaker UGC ringtone application to iPhone.
The firm’s app allows users to choose from a wide selection of tracks in various genres and mix their own voices on top of the tracks. ToneMaker has been previously available exclusively on Verizon Wireless. This new move should expand the number of carriers that will enable personalised ringtones, starting (obviously) with AT&T.
The new version of ToneMaker takes advantage of the larger touchscreen interface via an intuitive four-track GUI through which users can change parts - drums, bass, lead, and rhythm - to create their personalised ringtone.
David Danon, CEO of Sonic Boom, said: “The iPhone’s superior interface, its pristine audio and Apple's innovative comittment to the greatest consumer music experience provide Sonic Boom with the ideal platform for creating and sharing unique, personalized ringtones.”
