Ex-Spurs and England legend fronts new football predictor service.
PlayPhone has launched Footie Forecast, a mobile football score prediction service fronted by Jimmy Greaves in the UK.
It's the latest element of a big European push by US-based PlayPhone, which earlier this week announced plans for a branded UK TV channel.
Footie Forecast will cost £3 per week and will be marketed via the company's Splash web and WAP portals, print and "other promotional material suitable for venues showing football on TV", i.e.
pubs and bars.
It will also launch across Europe in Italy, Germany, and Spain.
Moreover, customers who sign up to the service will receive one free football-related mobile game to download each week, including Pro Evolution Soccer 2008.
Other football related content such as ringtones of football songs and chants are also available to download, as well as graphics featuring star players and club badges.
Footie Forecast will also have a user generated content section for picture uploading and rating. Users can chat to one another through a forum too.
