Netbiscuits is to launch its first Mobile Web Developer Challenge, with Yankee Group.

The contest is being run in conjunction with Yankee Group’s Mobile Internet World conference, and aims to encourage the creation of mobile websites, portals, communities, games, download centres, video channels, shops, campaigns, or landing pages created with a free trial of the Netbiscuits platform.

Submissions entered by 11:59 pm on October 15th will be judged by a panel of industry experts on design, fluidity, content and execution to win free access to professional development tools used by eBay, Yahoo! and Nokia.

The Netbiscuits development platform is a Web-based interface that allows quick development of mobile websites and applications. Professional and budding developers can register for the contest and a free Netbiscuits trial account at http://www.netbiscuits.com/miw

A panel of judges representing industry experts from leading mobile companies such as Yahoo!, Ebay, Cisco, and Nokia Interactive will announce winners at Yankee Group’s Mobile Internet World Developer Summit in Boston.  Winners will be announced at 12:30 pm on October 21st at Netbiscuits’ booth #407.

The six best Mobile Websites will win prizes worth more than $40,000.

·    1st Prize: Netbiscuits Enterprise Edition, 6-month developer account, including 1m page impressions a month
·    2nd and 3rd Prize: Netbiscuits Premium Edition, 6-month developer account, including 500k page impressions a month
·    4th to 6th Prize: Netbiscuits Basic Edition, 6-month developer account, including page impressions a month

Netbiscuits will also be hosting a series of mobile web development best practice workshops at the conference.
