Sony Ecrisson: Xperia will be on time

Handset maker assures market that its new Microsoft smartphone will make Christmas.
Sony Ericsson has moved to allay fears in the Swedish media that its Windows Mobile-powered Xperia 1 would not make its mooted Christmas launch date.
But Sony Ericsson spokeswoman Merran Wrigley told Reuters: "There is absolutely no delay. The product is on track. We have said it will roll out in Q4 and we are on target to do that."
It's been a mixed year for Sony Ericsson so far - on the one hand it has successfully launched the PlayNow Arena conmtent store, but on the othe rit has struggled with poor device sales.
