Xendex expands into UK

Games developer Xendex has opened a UK office to get closer to publishing and licensing partners.
It’s the Austrian company’s third unit, having previously forged a presence in its home country and in Krakow, Poland. The London office will be headed by Achim Kürten, who joined Xendex in April as VP of international sales and marketing. London will act as the firm’s HQ for distribution, marketing and licensing.
"For Xendex, the existence of a local presence in the UK is of strategic importance", says Michael Haberl, CEO of Xendex.
"A significant number of our key publishing and licensing partners are based in London. Working from within the country will enable us to offer our partners an even better, faster and more direct service than before. After the recent investment of 2.3 million euros by Venture Capitalist PONTIS, the UK office is the next logic step in our ambitious expansion strategy."
