PlayStation online music video store, VidZone, will offer downloadable mobile content next year.
The trial PS3 music video service is scheduled to launch in early 2009 for Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Interestingly, VidZone will also gives users an option to "download full tracks, music videos and ringtones to mobile for a small charge."
It will also stream video for free to PS3 or PSP via ‘Remote Play’.
Sony says music lovers can build their own playlists and personalise their VidZone experience to be whatever they choose.
The company will launch a "comprehensive film, TV and music download service at a later date".
