Fox buys Cell mobisodes

Fox International has bought the online rights to Mobstar’s made-for-mobile thriller, Cell.
The series of 20 two minute episodes was first aired by O2 in the UK. The Endemol-produced series also got play and on Sony’s crackle.com in the US. Fox will broadcast it on thecell.tv, a site that can’t be accessed in the US or Canada, and additional sites the company plans to launch in October for British audiences.
Cell follows a man locked in prison with only a mobile phone and a mystery caller. In a parallel story, the same prisoner is a wealthy Columbian who suffers a betrayal, forcing him to make a life-alternating decision.
