Video ringbacks into India

Video ringtone pioneer Vringo has appointed One97 as its exclusive distributor in India.
The partners plan to develop localised content for Indian customers, who can also create Vringos using the camera or by pulling pictures or video from social networks or web sites.
Steve Glanz, Vringo’s senior VP for business development, said: “We are happy to have One97 Communications as our premier partner in India, where we expect Vringo’s video ringtone application and rich-media content will prove popular with users looking to personalize their calling experience.”
One97 is a mobile VAS specialist, which claims to reach 97 per cent of mobile users in India.
