MobiTV has passed four million subscribers for its 3G mobile TV service.

The firm’s offering is now present on more than 15 operators, including Sprint, AT&T Wireless, Alltel, Telus, Rogers and Bell Mobility. It first launched in November 2003.

MobiTV offers over 50 channels in the US from brands such as ESPN, NBC, Disney Channel and Discovery. It is available on more than 350 devices.

“The company continues to accelerate its growth trajectory, adding another million subscribers in the past 10 months,” said Charlie Nooney, CEO of MobiTV.

“We see a vibrant future for user-driven programming, interactivity and connected media experiences, all of which we continue to create and innovate to deliver a superior value to network operators, content owners, advertisers and viewing consumers.”

The firm also confirmed a 50 per cent rise in daily unique users and viewing time in the first half of 2008.
