THQ Wireless revs up 17.7 per cent

Summer movie tie-ins push THQ mobile unit's 2Q08 revenue to $5.1 million.
THQ Wireless has enjoyed a buoyant second quarter, with revenue in the three months to June rising by 17.7 per cent YoY to reach $5.1 million.
Big releases in the quarter include movie tie-ins Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Wall.E.
THQ's overall revenue rose 32 per cent from $104.5 million to $137.6 million, meaning mobile accounts for 3.7 per cent of the business.
