Nokia has signed up as a Platinum Partner of the ME Awards 2008 – its third year of support for the industry’s biggest event.

The news comes as Nokia accelerates its move into entertainment services. The company has already launched Music Store in over 10 countries, expanded N-Gage, rolled out Share on Ovi and greenlighted Nokia Maps.

Later this year it will launch the radical mobile music subscription concept Comes With Music.

Sega and Glu are already on board with ME Awards 2008 as Gold Partners, while Player X is a Silver Partner.

Kamar Shah, Global Head of Industry Marketing at Nokia, said: "It's a great pleasure for Nokia to come back for the third time to support the ME Awards. The event has become a key calendar entry for the business, and we look forward to seeing over 400 execs there on the night."
