Mobile game in the offing for BBC TV series, which returns to screens for its seventh series in the autumn
Gameloft has secured the licence to make a mobile game based on BBC spy drama Spooks.
The deal was brokered by Metrostar on behalf of programme producer Kudos Film & Television.
The game will be divided into several chapters, encompassing different locations within the UK. The gameplay incorporates 'point and click' sequences, a discussion system and several mini-games.
Its not the firstr time Gameloft has turned to UK TV screens for IP - it has recently struck deals with ITV for the Krypton Factor and BBC Worldwide for Top Gear.
Kudos commercial director Daniel Isaacs said: “Given Gameloft’s expertise and experience in creating high quality and enjoyable games based on dramatic properties, we were confident that they would create a game that stays true to the brand and will delight Spooks fans”.
