Hungama snaps up rights to Eros films

Hungama Mobile has signed a licensing deal with London-based film studio Eros International.
The contract gives Hungama rights to develop and distribute content and downloads for all forthcoming Eros films including film images, audio and video clips, film details like synopsis, cast, crew, previews, reviews, film stills etc. Hungama already offers Eros content on its www.bollywoodhungama.com portal.
Forthcoming Eros titles include a re-make of Aladdin starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Riteish Deshmukh, Toonpur ka Super Hero, Freeze, Judwaa 2 and Kambakth Ishq, which stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Sylvester Stallone and Denise Richards.
Kumar Ahuja, VP of new media and international sales at Eros, said: “Through this association, we are looking forward to some highly attractive content for our films that will help create maximum visibility across various telecom channels.”
Hungama is India’s largest digital content specialist, with distribution across 60 countries by the end of this year. .Its operator partners include Vodafone, Idea, BSNL. Airtel, Reliance, du, SingTel, Verizon, Rogers, T-Mobile, MTN and more.
