Finnish firm’s iPhone competitor makes stealthy appearance in DC’s new Batman movie
Though Nokia’s upcoming Tube mobile phone, dubbed by some as the company’s first foray into the increasingly competitive touch screen market, is still the thing of mystery, that hasn’t stopped the Caped Crusader getting an early piece of the action.
TechRadar reports that the Tube, or the XpressMedia 5800 to give it its semi-official name, enjoys a massive five seconds of screen time in the upcoming movie blockbuster Batman: The Dark Knight.
The Tube is seen being handed to Christian Bale by co-star Morgan Freeman in what was likely a high-profile and high-cost bit of consumer marketing.
There’s still no word on when we can expect the Tube to receive a fully-fledged public outing.
