Systems failure results in iPhone processing slowing down to a crawl
Whilst the predictable widespread talk of stock shortages has ensured that queues at O2, Apple and Carphone Warehouses in the UK this morning were suitably large, technical errors have lead to chaos in Central London.
TechRadar reports that the computer systems at the Oxford Street O2 store suffered an unfortunate crash this morning, meaning the processing of iPhones was slowed to a crawl.
Both those waiting to buy an iPhone for the first time and those upgrading from the previous model have been affected.
Seeing as O2 reportedly expects to be able to supply each store with no more than a ‘few dozen’ iPhones each, there’s going to be plenty of disappointment doing the rounds tonight.
