Sony Ericsson assessing Spice Mobile purchase

Sony Ericsson is in talks to acquire India’s Spice Mobile, says the Economic Times.
Spice is the handset division of the Modi group and sells mobile phones under the Spice brand. BK Modi owns about 64 per cent of the handset specialist.
Sony Ericsson is the world’s fifth largest handset vendor with around seven per cent of the global market. It’s much stronger in Western Europe than in Asian markets.
