Australian Rugby Union first to beam mobile content from JCDecaux installations.
Display ad network JCDecaux has announced plans to utilise Bluetooth technology in assets across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, enabling it to offer clients a mobile content component to their campaigns.
The first will be the Australian Rugby Union, which will be advertising the launch of its Bundaberg Rum Series from July 15th.
Mobile users will be able to download promotional video clips to their phone from 50 billboard locations across Australia with more planned for later in the year.
Rose Farhart, national production manager for JCDecaux said: “Many of our clients have already used Bluetooth and we want to ensure we can provide our clients with mobile capability on a national level and at a cost that makes it viable”.
