Telenor has agreed with Nokia to support the handset company’s Ovi content services.
The agreement will see Ovi services offered to Telenor customers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Hungary on selected Nseries devices. As part of the collaboration, these Nokia devices will also be customised to provide easy access to Telenor offerings such as Telenor Music Store and Mobile TV. The services will be launched during the second half of 2008.
"Our ambition is to be a leading operator providing new and user-friendly services accessible on mobile devices.
The agreement with Nokia is the beginning of an exciting collaboration where we will extensively deploy the capabilities of our high-speed third generation mobile network," said Morten Karlsen Soerby, Executive Vice President and Head of Telenor Nordic.
