Where have Moto’s users gone? Gone to Apple, most of ‘em.
A survey of 20,000 users by JD Power found that a 24 per cent of RAZR owners ditched their machine-tooled clamshells for an iPhone. It calculated that, with 5.4 million iPhones sold to date, 1.3 million former RAZR customers made the switch.
More woeful news for Moto, as if it needed any. The company rode high on the back of its RAZR template for years, but relied on it for too long and is now paying the price. The future of its handset division is still uncertain.
