MoMac has teamed with South Africa’s Thumbtribe to increase the footprint of its delivery platform, GoMedia.
The partnership will see Thumbtribe licencing the GoMedia platform to create, manage and deliver rich media WAP sites, content downloads and services to its customer base. This comprises tier one brands, media companies and South African magazine and newspaper publishers.
Thumbtribe has also been installed as a standalone GoMedia reseller in the region, enabling the company to market and sell the platform to other mobile service providers
Sham Careem, MD, MoMac UK, said: “The global market for mobile entertainment, news and services continues to grow at pace. Thumbtribe has already had significant success in the mobile infotainment business in South Africa and has grown a first class reputation with brands and media companies that wish to mobilise their content assets.”
GoMedia automatically optimises content for all mobile handsets and seamlessly integrates both with mobile operator billing platforms and off-portal billing standards such as PayPal and PayForIt.
