Qualcomm supports Mobile Zone at big TV showcase

Qualcomm has signed up as the Platinum Sponsor of The Mobile Zone at IBC2008.
The US giant will showcase its MediaFLO mobile broadcast platform at the huge TV industry event in Amsterdam this September. They join Expway, Nagravision, Newport Media and Siano Mobile Silicon, which have already signed-up for the Mobile Zone.
"Each year, the Mobile Zone brings together the latest and most innovative developments in mobile content, management and delivery, and this year we expect broadcast TV and value-added services to generate high interest," said Chem Assayag, senior director of business development, EMEA for Qualcomm MediaFLO Technologies.
The Mobile Zone at IBC2008 will be accompanied by a series of Business Briefings to which attendance is free. These briefings will examine some of the issues and opportunities arising from this revolution in broadcast content delivery in further detail and are intended to reinforce and complement the established peer reviewed, paid-delegate IBC Conference.
The IBC2008 exhibition takes place from 12 - 16 September 2008 at the RAI, Amsterdam.
