Volantis launches easy site-builder

Volantis has beta launched a free mobile web site building tool, Ubik.com.
The company claimes the web tool can help consumers and small businesses build sites without any technical knowledge or training. Volantis already offers a similar services for large enterprises, the freely downloadable Mobility Server.
Ubik.com offers dozens of templates to get mobile sites up and running in very short time. It employs the Volantis library of more than 5,100 different mobile devices, so that sites are optimised for each user.
Mark Watson, CEO of Volantis, said: “With the proliferation of smart phones, more people are turning to their mobile devices for convenient web access. Volantis’ technology has empowered leading companies to properly present their brands on mobile devices, but until now small companies and end users were left behind. Now, Ubik.com provides a solution for everyone.”
