Indian mobile content and infrastructure provider to bring ad and UGC services to Europe.
IMImobile is on a global expansion drive – it wants overseas business to contribute half its revenues by the end of 2008.
The company currently generates 80 per cent of sales in India, even though it has operations in 51 countries with over 400 content partners and operators. Its activities include content delivery, mobile marketing and advertising, messaging gateways, plus mobile video and voice platforms.
A strong focus for this year is IMImobile’s mobile advertising solution, Ad-Ring, which creates campaigns that can be delivered via SMS, MMS, voice, WAP, ringbacks and video streaming.
It believes this multi-platform approach will win over new clients in global markets.
Vishwanath Alluri, chief executive officer of IMImobile, told ME: “There’s huge interest globally in mobile advertising and I think brands and agencies are now ready to commit to a platform where users can arrive from various access points, not just banners.”
IMImobile has similarly high hopes for its mobile community platform. It currently runs a service for Malaysian operator Maxis that invites members to share content in exchange for rewards when other users download it.
