PlayPhone has selected WDSGlobal to provide pre-launch testing of its content.
The US-based firm, which operates its own D2C sites and powers mobile content destinations for Wal-Mart, Cartoon Network and others, will also work with WDSGlobal on phone and email support from its US-based customer care centres. The aim is to deliver a consistent user experience and tackle fragmentation.
"We want to give our customers the best possible experience before, during, and after the download process," said Ron Czerny, CEO of PlayPhone. "We selected WDSGlobal because of its strong track record and having their expertise in charge of this critical mission will ensure consumer ease-of-use and satisfaction."
Steve Nasca, general manager for Americas of WDSGlobal, said: "Even usability issues such as not being able to find a piece of downloaded content on the handset drive support calls and damages the user experience. This was unacceptable to PlayPhone. As a business, they understand that optimizing the user experience is a key priority to building a sustainable and world-class mobile media company."
