IPC has re-launched the off-portal mobile site of its edgy music brand NME.
The revamped storefront is being hosted and managed by mobile content and services specialist InfoMedia Services. NME Mobile’s new features include a range of new services such as breaking music news, album reviews, prizes, real tones, video downloads and wallpapers. There’s also a searchable guide to gigs and mobile vouchers offering discounts to Club NME nights across the UK.
NME Mobile’s site will include micro-sites for bands and artists such as Artic Monkeys, Bloc Party and Foo Fighters, enabling users to access specific information and downloads on the biggest artists and bands in music today.
Michael Tomlins, commercial director at InfoMedia Services, said: “I’s fantastic to be able to work alongside NME which is one of the most recognised brands in music publishing today. “The ubiquity of mobile makes it an ideal channel through which brands can reward customer loyalty whilst creating an engaging destination through which to promote other services.”
