Viral video specialist Kontraband has teamed up with Mobix to launch its first mobile portal.
Kontraband’s videos, which target men in the 16-24 year old demographic, are already available online and the firm claims millions of users. The company also has a content seeding agency, The 7th Chamber, that feeds branded content to the audience. For the mobile launch, Pot Noodle will be running a six month viral campaign seeding 14 videos on Kontraband.mobi and across The 7th Chamber blog network. The Campaign was bought and planned by Mindshare and DBM.
Following the initial launch, the site will deliver targeted banner and real-time video advertising, powered by Mobix’s mobile video platform, Adrenalin.
Richard Spalding, CEO of Kontraband, said: “Combining our huge video catalogue with Adrenalin’s delivery capabilities and Mobix’s mobile video expertise will enable us to create an unbeatable, free mobile entertainment experience. We can now offer clients a 360 digital marketing service helping them to reach their target audience through Kontraband site sponsorship, viral web distribution and now mobile viral distribution.”
