BREW 08: Zed BREWs a 76m download storm

D2C giant Zed has delivered more than 76 million BREW downloads to US consumers since 2001.
A piece of mobile content, including music ringtones, polyphonic ringtones, voicemail greetings and wallpapers, is downloaded every 1.5 seconds from Zed's BREW application catalog on operator decks throughout North and South America.
Zed in the US, formerly 9 Squared, has also announced several other significant BREW milestones including the launch of three BREW applications – a US Cellular's Tone Room, Univision Tonos and Voicemail MAX – and has continued to broaden its flagship offering, RealTone JukeBox.
"Zed's success is a testament to the BREW ecosystem that incorporates major handset makers, developers, mobile entertainment companies and operators," said Kathy Braegger, head of developer relations for Qualcomm Internet Services.
