Windows Mobile shipments 'up 50 per cent' in FY2009.

Microsoft expects sales of Windows Mobile software to grow 50 per cent in the next fiscal year.
Eddie Wu, the company's MD of OEM embedded devices (Asia), told Reuters Microsoft expects to sell 20 million units in its 2007/2008 fiscal year ending in June, and expects to grow at least 50 per cent annually over the next two years.
He added that growth of Windows Mobile is seen fastest in Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Brazil, Russia and India. Licensees include Samsung, Motorola, HTC and others.
