Indian conglomerate Videocon is in talks to buy out the Motorola handset business.
The consumer durables and manufacturing giant recently launched a drive into telecoms and will start rolling out its own network in India from mid-August. After a dismal year, Motorola is now planning to separate its device business from its other operations.
Analysts say its handset operation is worth about $3.8 billion.
