Almost 85 per cent of consumers know what Bluetooth is, says Millward Brown.
This study polled about 2,500 consumers in China, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, US and the UK between the ages of 18 and 70. It found that a majority of respondents have heard of Bluetooth and 68 per cent recognised the logo. 60 per cent of respondent said they own a Bluetooth enabled device in four out of six countries polled.
Millward Brown observed that Bluetooth is by far the most recognized wireless technology, against Wireless USB (57 per cent), Wi-Fi (53 per cent), IrDA (53 per cent) and WiMediaUWB (16 per cent).
There are two billion devices with Bluetooth technology in the marketplace now.
