Players X has hired a new CTO in the form of ex-I-play man Phil Cooke.
Cooke’s role will be to boost Player X’s distribution and aggregation services for global carriers and content providers. He will run the company’s technical strategy as it expands its portal management and hosting services.
Cooke was previously CTO of mobile games publisher I-play, where he oversaw the development of solutions for client- and server-based mobile games.
In addition to game development and porting frameworks, he initiated and managed a number of projects related to content management, delivery and merchandising of mobile games and applications.
Tony Pearce, Player X CEO, said: “We are delighted to have Phil on board. He is probably the most sought-after CTO in the mobile industry and he will play a very important role in taking this company to the next level."
