Mobile marketing specialist Velti to use Vantrix platform to serve ad-supported mobile video.
UK-based Velti, which counts Vodafone, Orange and BAA among its clients, says the Vantrix Media Broadcaster platform will allow it to send ad-supported video from WAP sites to a vast array of mobile devices.
Mobile users who subscribe to video services delivered by Velti’s enhanced Mobile Marketing Platform (MMP) are asked to provide basic personal data such as gender, date of birth, area of residence and range of income the first time they sign up.
The company says its partnership with Vantrix means it can now personalise those services even more using device detection and video optimisation.
Elsewhere, Vantrix technology is used y the likes of ABC News, Orange, T-Mobile and The Weather Channel.
