Mobile social network Zedge is claiming over nine million members, and adding 20,000 more daily.
The Norway-based firm offers users in 216 countries the chance to share user-generated mobile content. It also owns a content library of more than 1.3 million items, including images, ringtones, voice tones, screensavers, games and themes. Zedge says its users create and upload 50,000 items a day.
Now the firm, owned by US-based IDT Internet Mobile Group, hopes to grow further following the re-launch of its website. It features a revamped menu structure, a straightforward top-level index, tabbed browsing of site content and member profiles, expanded member account options, improved search capabilities, and a clearly defined iconography.
“The newly streamlined Zedge.net makes it significantly easier for the users to find and get what they want, connect with one another, and create and share content,” said Zedge president Tom Arnoy.
