France's abphone is to work with Ad Infuse and 4th Screen to drive advertising to its search site.

The company has a relatively low profile, but an intriguingly different selling point. It's an off-portal search box that retrieves purely content-based results - images and videos at present, and soon music and games. The service does not return information-based results.

abphone launched in 2005 and claims to have handled nearly half a billion searches and currently drive 100m page views a month.

The two new ad deals reflect abphone's desire to monetise its site with advertising. abphone will also explore paid links, and is close to signing two such deals with games companies.
