The MMA has published an 21-page overview to introduce newbies to mobile marketing.

The Mobile Marketing Association doc takes case studies from one geographic market and applies them to other regions. The aim is to develop best practices and expose marketers to new ideas.

Its publication follows the release of MMA’s first set of global guidelines last week. This sets down specs for marketing campaigns based on mobile messaging and downloadable applications.

It is designed as a blueprint for marketers and carriers around the world.

The MMA plans to follow the new guidelines in the next few months with similar instructions for mobile video and TV, and then to establish standards for measuring mobile ad campaigns.
