Gambling specialist Probability Games signed up a new customer every minute in 1Q 2008.
The UK company signed up 62,930 new customers in the period, raising the total to 339,205. This helped to grew its revenues by 25 per cent to £1.16m, compared with £930,198 in the previous quarter.
This strong performance helped Probability to extend its relationship with a number of third parties including Rank Group (to provide “Mecca” mobile bingo) and News International (to provide “News Of The World” mobile casino, bingo and slots). It also launched the “Crazy Camels” virtual racing game on its D2C Lady Luck’s service and confirmed that one VIP customer took a profit of £211,000 on mobile Blackjack.
Probability is now planning for the year ahead buoyed by the addition of £1.7m of additional capital, through a placing of 3,397,028 ordinary shares to private holding company IPGL Limited.
The firm’s CEO Charles Cohen said, “We are pleased to have delivered consistent progress, quarter on quarter, during 2007 and to be starting the new financial year in a strong position. The exceptional winning streak for a single customer, which netted him over £210,000 at Blackjack, should leave no doubt that serious gamblers can be attracted to the mobile phone platform.
