French mobile games publisher predicts 20-25 per cent growth for 2008 as platforms proliferate.
Gameloft has posted 1Q08 revenue of 25.3 million euros, up 11 per cent from 22.7 million euros a year earlier.
Mobile games accounted for 94 per cent of first quarter revenues. The remaining six per cent are related to its growing console game business (Nintendo DS, Xbox Live Arcade).
Europe represented 44 per cent of revenue in 1Q, with North America coming in at 29 pert cent and RoW 28 per cent.
Gameloft says sales growth will accelerate in the second half of 2008 as it reaps the rewards from upcoming games releases for N-Gage, iPhone, Nintendo DS and Wii. It is aiming for growth of 25-30 per cent in sales, with an operating margin of 10-15 per cent.
Earlier this week the company announced that its Asphalt car racing franchise had generated 10 million downloads during its lifetime.
