SE's Fun & Downloads portal to distribute Veveo's web-to-mobile video application.
Veveo's vtap Java app allows the user to create their own video feeds from sources like YouTube, DailyMotion, etc, and will then automatically search, discover and deliver new clips to the handset.
The software uses an incremental technique that's refined as more characters are entered, allowing people to find stuff without entering full keywords or phrases on fiddly handset keypads.
Preferences and feeds can also be set and managed at the main vtap.com web portal.
Viveo reckons its technology can mobilise over 150 million web videos.
Guru Pai, vice president of strategy and biz dev at Veveo, said: "Video is the future of the mobile internet – users will soon turn to video for the majority of their entertainment and information needs. vtap is the “on” button that enables mobile consumers to stay informed and entertained, with the best video the web has to offer.”
