Voice-enabled directory help on Sprint
Tim Green Apr 22 2008, 12:34pm
Search specialist V-Enable has launched the directory service FreeMobile411 as a Java download on Sprint.
It’s the first client-based version of the tool, which is voice-enabled, thereby allowing users to speak what they are looking for, and see the results displayed on screen in seconds. It gives access to 140 million residential and 14 million business, listings, and users can browse by category, get maps, driving directions, see other businesses nearby and more.
It’s free to use.
The announcement comes after the launch of the FreeMobile411 mobile internet site earlier this month. It’s also available on-deck with Alltel and MetroPCS.
